Bowman out with another serious knee injury
Nebraska head coach Bill Callahan said in a official statement on Thursday that senior cornerback Zackary Bowman will be out 4 ½ to 6 months with a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee.
Bowman underwent surgery on his knee Thursday morning. The injury to Bowman took place during a non-contact seven-on-seven drill in Wednesday's practice.
"We feel very badly for Zack," Callahan said. "He has worked diligently to rehabilitate his previous injury and this is a tough setback for him.
"Zack has a tremendous attitude and I expect that he will work just as hard to get back on the field this fall."
