A gut feeling led Wright to Gainesville
When Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Saint Thomas Aquinas four-star safety Major Wright officially visited Florida several weeks ago, he had a feeling that he had found the place he would call his future home. Subsequent visits to Notre Dame and Miami only helped to reinforce that belief.
After accumulating over 50 scholarship offers the 6-foot-1, 200-pound head hunter narrowed his list to a final four of Ohio State, Florida, Miami and Notre Dame.
On Tuesday he decided that playing for the Gators was his best option.
"When I took my visit there I felt like I could call Florida home for the next four years - I had a gut feeling about it. After that I took my visits to Notre Dame and Miami and I didn't get the same feeling. They weren't the same."
