Big Spring quarterback and Texas A&M commit Ryan Tannehill had always been intrigued by the number of Division I players (namely quarterbacks) who had graduated high school early and enrolled in college so as to get a head start on the development process.

So when the 6-foot-4, 193-pound Rivals.com three-star prospect started tallying his grades early in the recruiting process, it didn't take much for him to realize that he could do the same thing with a little hard work.

Tannehill committed to Texas A&M over TCU.
