Borges, Cox confident offense can rebound
In his first two seasons as offensive coordinator, Al Borges had Auburn's offense near the top of the SEC. But in 2006, it was a different story.
The Tigers finished No. 6 in scoring offense and No. 9 in total offense, averaging over a touchdown less per game this season. Still, they managed to win 11 games including Monday's 17-14 squeaker over Nebraska in the Cotton Bowl.
With quarterback Brandon Cox returning for his third year as the starter, a stable of talented tailbacks and tight ends, and some very talented redshirts ready to step into the spotlight, there is reason for optimism heading into the offseason.
