Junior running back Sam McGuffie is somewhat of an urban legend in Texas high school football lore. McGuffie, who gained infamy by rushing for over 3,000 yards and 44 touchdowns as a junior and hurdling a standing defender in a playoff game, is known throughout the state as "Super Sam."

However, despite his incredible junior season, the diminutive athlete has just two written offers.

For now, McGuffie is looking mainly at five schools: Texas Tech, Kansas, Michigan, Oklahoma State, and Notre Dame.
