Shurburtt: Tuesday Shrine Bowl report
SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The second day of practice for the 70th Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas featured many outstanding showings by the prospects on either team. The following is a look at five of the more noteworthy showings from both the North Carolina and South Carolina squads from the morning and afternoon sessions on Monday.
Rivals250 offensive tackle Landon Walker, a Clemson commit, was outstanding for the North Carolina squad. The thing that stands out about Walker is his athleticism and footwork. He has NFL potential if he continues to progress and is by the top offensive line prospect on either team so far.
Rivas250 running back Ryan Houston of Butler Matthews is known for his size (6-2, 250), but during Thursday's practice he showed off excellent quickness and cutting ability. The UNC commit could be a key factor for the North Carolina squad if it expects a victory on Saturday.
