Arizona makes big impression on Tuipulotu
Arizona has hit the islands hard this recruiting season, trying to bring the best talent in Hawaii to Tucson.
Behind UA assistant Mike Tuiasosopo's efforts, the Wildcats have already made a significant impact in the 2007 class, securing commitments from two highly ranked Hawaiian prospects - quarterback Bryson Beirne and offensive lineman Sione Tau.
Beirne and Tau give Arizona two of the top five prospects in the state but the biggest prize could be 6-foot-1, 280-pound Kaniela Tuipulotu. The defensive tackle from Kahuku is ranked as Hawaii's top prospect, and accordingly he holds offers from schools such as Arizona, Tennessee, BYU, Oregon State and Utah.
