NU Notes: Octavien poised for strong finish
It's been a while since junior linebacker Steve Octavien has had a stretch in his career where he's been completely healthy.
Octavien broke his leg in the first game of the season last year and has battled through appendix surgery and hamstring and ankle injuries this season.
After playing 11 straight weeks, the open date should serve as the perfect opportunity for Octavien to get back to full speed.
"I'm pretty close to 100 percent," Octavien said. "My ankle still hurts, but it doesn't really affect me. We do a lot of stuff before the game and during the game so I can stay healthy. My hamstring doesn't hurt anymore."
