Brohm has something to prove
Howie Lindsey
CardinalSports.com Louisville quarterback Brian Brohm was battered, bruised and frustrated Thursday night by a Rutgers defense that seemed to come at him at all angles.
The No. 3 Cardinals were upset 28-25 in the closing minutes by then-No. 15 Rutgers Thursday night in Piscataway, N.J. Louisville's normally potent offense was limited to just 56 total yards. Brohm was held to just 13-27 passing, was sacked five times and hit a dozen more times after he threw the ball.
"Thursday we were in a big fight and it was a tough game for us," Brohm said. "Offensively I thought we got off to a great start on our first drive. We stalled there in the second half and couldn't get anything going."
A normal person would want a week or so off after taking a beating like that. Not Brohm. The Cardinal QB can't wait to get back on the field.
