Auburn took another step in building a Top 10 recruiting class Thursday when they picked up a commitment from Ft. Smith (Ark.) Northside quarterback Kodi Burns.

Shortly after choosing the Tigers, Burns hopped on a plane for his official visit to Auburn this weekend. While Auburn's loss to Georgia Saturday dampened the mood on the Plains a bit, it certainly didn't have a negative affect on Burns' commitment.

"It definitely strengthened (my commitment)," said Burns. "It's a commitment that I thought about for a real long time and my commitment is with the Auburn Tigers."
