New Concord (OH) John Glenn standout Aaron Bates just picked up his first offer Thursday night.

"Ohio offered me, it was very exciting," Bates told Tigerillustrated.com Sunday afternoon. "My recruiting coordinator from there (quarterbacks) coach (Gerry) Gdowski called and told me. Coach (Frank) Solich is going to call me today or tomorrow. They want me to be their kicker next year; I'm not sure about punting there or not."
