Lincoln East, Neb., quarterback Jim Ebke had a chance to showcase
his skills in front of the Colorado State coaches earlier this summer at a team
camp. But with an unfortunate injury, this senior will be sidelined from
contact for a few more weeks.

"I have only been able to lift because at Colorado State I broke my jaw.
I was going across the middle and another and I both went up for a ball and we
ran into each other."

Ebke still has time to recover while being on the disabled list.

"I am out for two more weeks with my jaw being wired shut then I can start
running. It is not going to be a problem during the season and I feel
lucky that it happened this early."
