Cyclones first to offer Okla. athlete
A junior season spent calling plays from the quarterback position has ushered in a wave of recruiting attention for Muskogee (Okla.) athlete Rell Lewis, but mostly at the wide receiver position. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound athlete received his first offer of the process earlier this month and will be looking to earn more at summer camps in July.
Iowa State became Lewis' first offer and he is also hearing from schools such as Kansas, Arkansas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. The offer from the Cyclones, though, definitely caught his attention.
"It was about two weeks ago when they offered. They sent a letter," said Lewis. "I was excited since it was the first one. From what I've seen, I think they are a pretty good school. They like to throw the ball to their slot receivers it seems like."
