Huge turnout for day one of summer workouts
With the season opener just three months away, the Seminole football team got back to work on Monday afternoon. From now until the start of preseason practices in August, the players will meet on the practice fields four times a week for various conditioning and agility drills under the direction of Jon Jost and the rest of the strength and conditioning staff.
On Monday, approximately 60 players took part in a one-hour organized workout devoted to agility training. A little later, quarterbacks, receivers and a few defensive backs took part in a round of light passing drills. All in all, the feedback from day one was very positive.
"Today was a great start," strength and conditioning coach Jon Jost told Warchant.com, "and like I've said it's more important how you finish than how you start. Hopefully, we can take today and use it as a good building block and get more in numbers, more in intensity and more in focus every day."
