Bears in the mix for Cedar Hill talent
CEDAR HILL, Texas - Cedar Hill head coach Joey McGuire has seen a lot of talented ball players pass through the Longhorn program, but there is something special about the class of 2007.
The Horns have as many as 14 prospects with Division I potential, and eight already reporting offers. Offensive tackle John Jones is among the most highly recruited prospects at Cedar Hill, reporting 11 offers so far, with Kansas, UCF, Tulane, Arizona, Arkansas, Rice, Baylor, Kansas St., UTEP, and most recently Wisconsin a sampling of his offer list.
Another prospect the Bears have been on since the beginning is linebacker Chris Francis, son of Baylor All-American James Francis.
Baylor was the first to offer the 6-1, 215-pound but have since been joined Tulane, UTEP, Missouri, Rice, and Houston. Francis is taking his time with the recruiting process but he does have two teams in the lead.
