With Auburn losing its punter and kicker following the 2006 season, the Tigers went out and signed one of the South's top kickers in Shoemaker. Although the Birmingham-native grew up an Alabama fan, he took a scholarship offer from Auburn and will be playing his college ball on the Plains.
