Steve Spurrier said Tuesday afternoon that one player stood out in the second spring practice: sophomore wide receiver Kenny McKinley, a former high school quarterback who converted to wide receiver in college. While he had a good season in 2005, he struggled at times to get open against SEC caliber defensive backs. USC will practice again on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. when they will wear pads for the first time.
