Bulldogs break for Easter
Mississippi State went to work at 11 a.m. Friday morning before taking three day break for Easter.
The focus for most of Friday's work was mainly red zone and goal line installation which left head coach Dan Mullen pretty pleased with the results.
"It wasn't bad," Mullen said. "Again, we just put a little bit of the red zone packages in today. When you have younger guys, they are probably going to make more mistakes than the older guys. It kind of looked like that. They guys who were making plays in the red zone were the experienced guys. The younger guys are still trying to figure it out because for a lot of them it was their first time doing it."
Mullen stated that the two practices next week will complete the installation phase of spring for the most part and will lead into MSU's first major spring scrimmage on April 6 inside Davis Wade Stadium at noon.
Sometimes learning so much in such a short amount of time can be difficult, especially for a newcomer like Justin Cox. The talented junior college transfer cornerback has been working with the Bulldogs second team unit and has impressed his new head coach during his first four practices.
