Early enrollees leaving solid first impression
Your final semester of high school is usually spent going to prom or taking part in senior skip day.
For Nebraska true freshmen linebacker Courtney Love and offensive lineman David Knevel they decided to skip their entire second semester of high school to get a jump start on their collegiate football careers in Lincoln. Freshman safety D.J. Singleton also decided to enroll early after sitting out the 2012 season for academic qualification reasons.
Over the years we've seen a handful of high school prospects enroll early to Nebraska starting with quarterback Curt Dukes in 2002, but in all reality the class of 2013 freshmen look like they could be poised to make the biggest early impact.
Both Love and Singleton have seen plenty of looks already with the top defensive units, while Knevel looks poised to make an early impact in the program after 2013, when the Husker graduate five major contributors on the offensive line.
