Draper ready for next step
Almost immediately after high school graduation, Sean Draper is moving to Iowa City to get ready for the next step, which will be playing cornerback for the Hawkeyes. We caught up with Draper to talk about his upcoming freshman year at Iowa, some of the goals that he has going in, what it will be like to play against some of his teammates in the Big Ten, and much more.
Q: How much high school do you have left?
DRAPER: This is my last week. We graduate on May 31st.
Q: What have things been like as you wrap things up this month?
DRAPER: Good. I've been pretty busy with track. We just qualified our 4x100 team going to regionals.
Q: When do you make the move out to Iowa?
DRAPER: June 3.
Q: What made you want to get out there right away?
DRAPER: Summer workouts start on June 4, so I just decided I wanted to be there from day one.
Q: What are you looking forward to working with the team this summer?
DRAPER: I just want to get ready to compete for a spot because I want to play. Then I also want to just get comfortable with how college is and being on my own.
