Until a few days ago, Garland (Tx.) specialist Josh Lambert had only received invited walk-on offers from Texas A&M and Louisiana Tech. That was until West Virginia jumped into the mix with a full-scholarship offer.

Lambert, 5-foot-11, 205-pounds, got word from his kicking coach Chris Sailor that the Mountaineers co-defensive coordinator Joe DeForest was interested in him and after a few conversations Lambert got the surprising news.
