Tall tackle visiting Mississippi St.
One of the most coveted offensive tackles in the Southeast will take an official visit to Mississippi State's campus this weekend.
The 6-foot-7, 255-pound three-star prospect Xzavier Ward will make his way from Moultrie, Ga., to Starkville today to see what the Bulldogs have to offer.
Monday night Ward received an in-home visit from both Georgia Tech and Mississippi State. The Bulldogs sent both head coach Dan Mullen and offensive line coach John Hevesy in to try and talk the tall tackle into visiting.
"They came to my house and they convinced me that it was a reasonable place to come visit," Ward said. "They showed me pictures of their school and told me about their academics and how much they wanted to get me up there."
One of the aspects Ward will be looking for this weekend is how comfortable he feels at MSU and also being that far away from his family.
