Whitehead glad he visited MSU
Earlier in the week Greenwood, Miss., four-star cornerback Jermaine Whitehead was not sure he would even be taking anymore visits.
But the Mississippi State commitment had a change of heart and decided to spend his weekend in Starkville and is glad he did.
"It went real great and I had a lot of fun hanging out with the players and coaches," Whitehead said. "I'm glad I made the trip."
Whitehead, who refers to Starkville as his second home, has been to campus plenty since he committed over nine months ago. But this visit allowed him to view other aspects that the school had to offer.
"I got to view the whole campus, talk with the professors and go out with the guys," Whitehead said. "I got to get a feel for what's really going on. Didn't really anything surprise me. It's still a good place and a great place to go to school."
The six-foot, 183-pounder stated that his favorite part of the trip was hanging out with the players. He was hosted by rising senior safety Charles Mitchell, who is originally from Clarksdale, Miss.
