Sloppy day in Starkville
Mississippi State's underclassmen had one final day to impress the coaching staff on the practice fields before heading into their final scrimmage inside Davis Wade Stadium Thursday evening.

"It was a sloppy day out there today," Mullen said. "That was probably our worst day that we've had out there so far. The young guys going out here and going day after day have got to get used to playing at this level. A lot of them haven't been preparing their bodies to play at this level. It's good that we are getting this right now so they can get used to it."
Thursday night's scrimmage will be mostly for the younger Bulldogs to get reps in a game-like environment, many of them for the first time.
