Rainey's return sparks Gator win
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- After Florida center Mike Pouncey said earlier in the week that Chris Rainey was the Gators' best player, some of the media interviewing him scoffed.
Apparently, Pouncey knew something.
In his first action since being arrested in mid-September, Rainey, a speedy and talented junior running back/receiver, lived up to his teammate's billing. During Florida's 34-31 overtime thriller over Georgia on Saturday, Rainey amassed 241 all-purpose yards -- 96 more than anyone else who played.
"Rainey," said Pouncey, Rainey's longtime friend and high school teammate, "played a great game."
