Jones says trust is key to containing Robinson
EAST LANSING - The 103rd meeting between Michigan State and Michigan on the football field has been billed by some as a showdown between the top linebacker in college football, Greg Jones, and sport's fastest rising star, Denard Robinson.
But Jones isn't getting swept up in the hype. The fourth-year starter and two-year captain sees himself as one of 11 on the Spartan defense.
"I have talked to all of my teammates about how we are going to try and stop him and the rest of his team," said Jones. "I haven't just looked in the mirror and said I need to figure out how I am going to stop him. I have asked my teammates what they are thinking, what they have are seeing on film. I have asked the coaches. This is a team game and you have to play it that way. I know it may not seem that way. But it is not going to be me stopping him. It is going to be a lot of guys."
