Smith encouraged after Louisville's opener
Seneca High quarterback DaMarcus Smith helped usher in the Charlie Strong era at Louisville when he committed to the Cardinals the day after Strong was named their head coach. On Saturday, Smith was in the stands to see the Charlie Strong era kick off on the field in Louisville's rivalry game against Kentucky.
Louisville dropped their home opener to Kentucky by a final of 23-16, but Smith was encouraged by what he saw out of the Cardinals and believes the fan base should be too.
