Seminole defense is definitely new but is it improved?
There are new coaches running the show, the scheme has been overhauled, and the players are much bigger and stronger, but will the Seminole defense show significant improvement in 2010?
That's the primary question fans have batted around the past eight months since Florida State finished the 2009 season with a 7-6 record and ranked dead last in the ACC in three different defensive categories - rushing defense, pass efficiency defense and total defense.
While practices and scrimmages aren't always an accurate measure of how much a unit has improved, it's hard to argue with the results through the first two and a half weeks of preseason camp.
