Every time Tony Springmann makes the short trip from his home in Fort Wayne to South Bend he becomes even more excited about his future. After committing to Notre Dame in April, the 6-foot-6, 271-pound defensive end has been working hard for his senior season and visiting with the Irish every chance he gets. Last weekend's visit included plenty of time with Irish assistant Mike Elston.
