Florida school home to top linebacker duo
LAUDERDALE LAKES, Fla. - Boyd Anderson High School has consistently been one of the top producers of Division I talent in the state of Florida. The classes of 2011 and 2012 at the south Florida school are certainly looking like they will easily continue that trend.
The Cobras lost several top seniors, such as Under Armour All-American Demar Dorsey, to graduation, but their defense is poised to simply reload. The schools have over half a dozen players with written offers, but the strength of the team is easy to spot as the two most highly sought after prospects are linebacker Kent Turene and Shaun Ward.
The 6-foot-3m 230-pound Turene is a three-year starter at the position while the 6-foot-2, 225-pound Ward is making the transition to outside linebacker from defensive end in the school's new 3-4 base defense.
