Breaking a school or state record is a personal goal for many high school football players. Reaching such a feat allows them to leave a permanent mark on their prep career.

But not many athletes can say that they hold a nation wide record.

Damiere Byrd is one such person.

On March 7 in Philadelphia, the Sicklerville (N.J.) speedster turned heads by running the fastest forty yard dash ever recorded at a Nike combine with a 4.26 electronic time.
