League City (Texas) Clear Springs safety Howard Matthews is considered somewhat of a sleeper as he transferred to the Houston-area school from Seguin after playing in just seven games this past year. Even so, recruiting for the 6-foot-2, 200-pound defender is beginning to pick up steam.

Matthews is receiving interest from the likes of Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Texas. The process really started to get serious after he and teammate Donnie Baggs visited nearby Texas A&M this past Friday.
