Hill is in Tuscaloosa
It's clear that in recent days Jeremy Hill has gone back and forth when it comes to where he wanted to spend his weekend. The LSU commit could have attended junior days in Baton Rouge or Tuscaloosa, and now he has made his choice.
While the 6-foot-1, 220-pound running back insists the status of his commitment to LSU has not changed, Hill has decided to attend Alabama's junior day.
This comes despite a quote from Hill's coach at Redemptorist given to TigerBait.com last night which indicated he would be in Baton Rouge. Hill spoke with TigerBait.com himself on Saturday morning, just before the start of the Tide's event.
"I just found out about LSU's junior day on Thursday night, and I had made plans to go to Alabama two weeks ago," Hill explained. "It actually starts in a couple of minutes. Since I had plans to go to Alabama that's where I've ended up going."
Hill said his decision should not be interpreted as a sign that he's reconsidering his commitment to the Tigers.
"Oh I'm definitely solid with LSU," he said. "I'm with them all the way. I'm just kind of seeing what else is out there. I haven't seen many other campuses and before I sign I just want to see what else there is.
"I just picked up a written offer (from Alabama), and if I didn't have that offer I probably wouldn't be out here. I just want to show them that I appreciate their offer."
Hill said Alabama's coaches were excited that they were able to convince him to take a trip to Tuscaloosa, and it appears as though they have made him a high priority. He said he has not been in contact with other schools, but he would continue to evaluate other options before Signing Day in February of 2011.
