Ishmael Banks is ready to play for West Virginia.

Tripped up by a brief peak by the NCAA, Banks said he was made aware of the college athletics organization investigating his case several days before Wednesday's starting of the signing period. It recently gave him a clean bill of health.

"It's fixed now. Everything is OK. When I was supposed to come, I got stuck in the airport. The NCAA wanted to make sure something else wasn't going on--since I wasn't there," said the 6-foot-1 cornerback Friday afternoon.
