Four-star DT picks up new offer, sets visits
Texas A&M head coach Mike Sherman would prefer to build his program on high school talent alone. However, with the defensive line losing several players to graduation and possibly to the NFL Draft, an exception might have to be made.
Blinn (TX) College defensive tackle Jonathan Mathis has caught the eye of the Aggie coaches. Area recruiter and defensive line coach Buddy Wyatt made the recent short drive to the school to check out some of their prospects and came away impressed with the 6-foot-3, 292-pound defender. It was enough to garner a scholarship offer.
